Do the Thing!

Hello, Mount Gilead! This is Sheldon Poplin Morley, and I want to share a sentiment that drives me every day: Do The Thing. It’s my version of seize the day. Each of us, in our own lives, in our workplaces, in our homes, in our community, has the power to create, build, decide, and move our plans along. Our time here on Earth is precious, and every moment is an opportunity to make a difference.

We're all on this journey together, and there's no dress rehearsal, no do-over. This fact shouldn't dishearten us. Instead, it should ignite a fire within us to live each day to the fullest, to make each breath count. After all, our time, our energy, our heart, our hands, our minds – these are our greatest tools. Let's put them to good use for the benefit of our beloved families, ourselves, and our community.

This is the spirit that I am bringing to our mayoral race, a call for us all to seize the day, to seize the opportunities before us, to seize the future of Mount Gilead. Let's take this journey together and use each moment to shape our town into the place we know it can be. Let's create, build, decide, and move, for we are the architects of our town's future. Together, we can do this!
